About me:
I'm Dark Deity Telemachus Claudius Rhade, your common abnormal 20 year-old Canadian. You can call me Rhade. I'm on a variety of other sites too, like DeviantART, YouTube and Wikipedia among others. I may appear to be fairly open here, but offline I tend to socially isolate myself, not coming into contact with my peers out of fear of rejection. It's been like this for as long as I can remember and I'm currently taking steps to change this.

I was diagnosed at an early age with autism/Asperger's Syndrome. This is partially responsible for my being so damn shy. If you were to approach me in real life, I'd appear quiet, reserved and perhaps uninterested in having a social life (although the third point couldn't be further from the truth).

Also, I'm very scared of heights, scared a bit of death because of the unknown experience you can't turn back from and I'm mildly emetophobic. Whenever I feel nauseous (or feel any pain in my stomach for that matter) I tend to start panicking and shivering violently and uncontrollably, even though I'm not cold. Also, hearing or seeing the words "vomiting" or "gastroenteritis" or seeing/hearing someone getting sick tends to make me cringe or run for cover respectively.

I also spend LOTS of time on the computer, usually working on projects I rarely ever finish. Such projects include fangames, fanfics and original material. I consider myself a perfectionist creator, so those projects usually never leave my computer or even end up deleted as I always seem to be able to find something wrong with them. Another reason they may never be seen by others is that I always like to delay completion by adding new content, and thus it ends up never being finished. I'm currently studying in Computer Science, and when I graduate I intend to attend a game development school. Super Smash Bros. Melee and RPG Maker 2000 are what inspired me to take that route, though it grew out of me lately. In my spare time, I'm looking into music. I now plan on becoming an opera singer.

I'm a casual gamer. I don't claim I can, say, utterly destroy Ken Hoang. Super Smash Bros. Melee and Brawl and Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 are my most played video games when I meet friends or attend gamer clubs. In Smash, I usually main middle-tiered characters, save for a few exceptions.

Music:
My favorite musical genres are popular, operatic pop ("popera"), opera and video game music. My favorite artists for each genre are

Opera: Carlos Marín (also doubles as my fav popera singer as a member of Il Divo)
Video game: Koji Kondo/Hirokazu Ando

I also used to enjoy techno and classic rock, however those genres have grown out of me in recent years.

My LJ:

My journal mostly contains rants and complaints about life, as well as entries about my interests and dislikes. It was very active when I first joined up. However, activity decreased in recent years as I noticed I kept posting and repeating the same shit all the time. I realize that persistently talking about the same stuff can get boring after a while.

It also contains some swearing, so those with sensitive eyes must tread cautiously.

Anonymous comments are disabled, so you must be a registered LiveJournal user to comment on my entries, though anyone can read most of my entries (except, obviously, those I mark as friends-only or private).

If there's one thing you must will avoid is attacking/mocking others' opinions and stating yours as facts, unless you mean to do so for humor. No flaming or trolling. I'm particularly strict about that, it will get you banned from commenting. This was the reason anonymous comments were disabled here. My apologies to those of you who meant well and didn't act like total dicks, but allowing anon comments is just asking for trouble.

Other stuff:
One particular thing about me is my tendency to develop infatuations or intense crushes on fictional characters. This is because I just don't seem to have the ability to develop a real relationship. I've been doing this since before normal people my age start getting into girls. Qana the snowflake fairy from the Disnay Fairies franchise (the film and Nintendo DS game to be exact) is my latest and current crush.
