A lot ot people would want invincibility/invulnerability, immunity to disease or some kinds of sci-fi mutations. Not me.

I'd want to be a shapeshifter. It's something I've dreamed about a lot as a kid. I played various characters of my creation, and I LOVED Halloween dress-ups and cosplays. To be able to actually BECOME those characters would be awesome. Hence why my defunct character, Lord Rhade, had the ability to shapeshift (well, since he's a god, he could do anything, but yeah...). Sadly, this will never happen... :(

Would you rent or buy the home of your dreams if a brutal murder had taken place there? What if you got to live there rent-free? Would you think twice if neighbors warned you that it was haunted?

View 983 Answers

Sure, why not? I don't believe in those fairy tales that talk about ghosts of murder victims and haunted houses.

Meh, whatever. If I want the house, it's not a dumb scare tactic that will deter me. Period. I WANT THE DAMN HOUSE, NOT A FREE BEDTIME STORY!

So... aside from that mini-rant, how's it going today? As for me, it's going great. Thank you! :3

Well! It's been a while, hasn't it?

Schoolwork is starting to pile up as I near the end of the semester, that's why I haven't been on. I haven't given a warning because it came all so suddenly. I apologize for this. Consider THIS a warning in case it happens again.

Now... on to Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure!

Lost Treasure was epic, as I thought. I love Fairy Gary and Viola, the latter unfortunately doesn't get much screentime... Here's to hoping that she'll show up in the next three films.

Gary, however, I was pleasantly surprised by how often he showed up! Oh, and this quote wins: "The fellas are makin' fun of my kilt again! They keep calling it a skirt!" XD

My DVD was surprisingly cheap for something that just came out, and it came with a free photo album.

So, yeah... just a little update to let you know I didn;t abandon this site.

Hm...?

Well, I know I said I normally don't post on weekends, but here I am! ;)

I guess you could say that I'm making up for missing a day.

Ugh... I'm sitting here with a near completely-blocked nose. I went to my doctor and he prescribed Reactine, since I told him that sprays don't help. I've got allergic rhinitis and it's been bugging my ass for years. Yeah, heh, only now did I decide to do anything about it.

Now, all that's left is to try to breathe until tonight, which is when I get the pills themselves.

Ughhhh. Gods...

My apologies for forgetting to post yesterday...

Well... today I'm about to find out how I did on that speech I mentioned a few entries ago. I'm a bit nervous because I believe I spoke for too long, and it wasn't even that well prepared anyway...

I'm also going to buy the Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure CD this weekend. EDIT: IF I can find it... I wonder what those "secret surprises on PC" are? Don't tell me. I wish to find out on my own and be surprised!

Well, that's just about it for now. I would answer the Writer's Block question, but then I'll have Lori laugh at me again.

I just went through a tough 6 minutes! I had to give a speech in my class. I hate giving speeches; it's a real trial for me. Fortunately it wasn't as bad as usual, though. I actually got carried away and almost dragged it on for too long!

Usually, I tend to wait a good 5, maybe 10 minutes for my fear to dissipate before I speak. Today it felt natural, for some reason. It felt more like I was trying to have a conversation with my class rather than speaking for marks. I should look at it that way from now on, it'll make things a lot easier!

...and to think I want to be an opera singer... Wow! I can't go doing that with the level of stage fright that I have.

Hmmm... let's see. What else was there?

Oh yeah, this weekend I'm off to TORONTO! The TRUE Canada's greatest city! I'm in love with the place. I'm thinking of moving there permanently someday. So, as you might guess, that means no entries this weekend. Then again, I never post on weekends.

TTFN~!

No. That's just a stupid reason to stop being friends with someone. If you have to cut contact with someone who has an opinion different than yours, then why the hell did you become friends in the first place, hm?

I tried out a meme from [info]spuffy_girl  and I got some... rather curious answers.

1) I can't remember at the moment, but I like you. We're friends.
2) Your icon, whatever it's from.
3) You're nice.
4) No memories at the moment.
5) No question.
6) The icon you're using.

I can't elaborate of any of those, except for one.

2) Your icon, whatever it's from.

It's a cropped pic of a snowflake fairy from the Disney film Tinker Bell. She also appears in the Nintendo DS game Disney Fairies: Tinker Bell. She was given the name "Qana". If you want to learn more, go here.

You can try this too. Meme lovers, come on DOWN! XD Ya know ya wanna!

Leave a comment and I'll:
1. Tell you why I friended you. (If I can even remember! If not it'll just be why we are still friends, aha)
2. Associate you with something - fandom, a song, a color, a photo, a word etc.
3. Tell you something I like about you.
4. Tell you a memory I have of you.
5. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you. (To which you must respond!)
6. Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.
7. In return, you must post this in your LJ. (Duh, so I can make you do it for me.)

Don't fuck with me this morning, old man! I feel like total utter shit!

BTW I was referring to my teach.

Last night, I came home with a FUCKING huge headache, muscle and stomach pains and an irritated throat. Not the kind of pain that makes you cough, but the kind that feels inflamed and makes it painful to swallow. I took a nap during the afternoon but it felt worse. My appetite even disappeared. This morning I woke up with a runny nose. I think I'm coming down with something, but I'm not sure if it's a cold. I don't normally feel this god awful before my colds become fully symptomatic.

Now I need to put up with a persistent teach who can't seem to shut up... Lord help me.. XP

Oh, and...

Well, they're late. So sue me. I was procrastinating and concentrating on school. But now, here they are.

My latest giant Fairies hoard splurge:
Rather pic heavy. Told you. )

Well... to change the subject, I've finally made a huge Smash Bros. decision: I've dropped Giga Bowser as my Melee main.

*shock*

That's right. After "maining" Giga for years, my new main is Doc. An awesome, underrated and an awesome character Sakurai obviously lacked the common sense to include in Brawl. It's OK, though. I have more fun with Doc, and I can actually use him when fighting tourney whores and other players at my school's video game club, unlike Giga.

Oh, and Prilla's gone, by the way. Not as in "dead", but another meaning you can probably guess.

I'd like to introduce you to Qana the snowflake fairy.

For those who haven't seen the film or played the DS game, I'll give you a crash course:

She's a mere spectator in the film, barely noticed in the few frames she's seen in. She's unnamed and has no dialogue or role other than wasting an excellent character model (more detailed than freaking WALL-E was) someone is a hero for creating. In the DS game, however, she can actually get noticed. She's given the name plus an actual role for a change. I know plenty of other game facts: she likes Snowdrops, hates Black Pearls and can make Snowflakes by your giving her ten Snow Grains. In the game, she's described as "quiet and reserved" (like me offline), but "kind and gentle". I wish there was more to elaborate from. I hope she shows up in the future films, expecially the winter one. I thought she stood out more than any other bystanders, and deserves a chance to shine.

Ok, that'll do for me. If I go on, this entry will get too long.

OK, sorry, everyone. I don't have the pictures I promised in my last entry. I realized that my school's computer didn't have the old Macromedia Fireworks anymore. It has Adobe Photoshop which I hate with a dying passion because of how slow and unlike Fireworks it is. I'll edit them tonight and post them here next time. But don't fret, here's a preview: they have something to do with that pic.

And now for the friends-only part.

My dream last night... was weird. Not weird as in strange, weird as in creepy... For once, neither Giga Bowser nor Prilla was in it. It was... Ruby. I don't want to go any further unless you really want me to describe it.

Ok, I've gotta go to class now. I'll catch you later

Well, I've been thinking. About a way I can keep this thing updated more often.

See, the problem is I just can't find anything to post here except complaints about how "CHEAP!" my life can be at times. I want to try and change that. There's no worse way to socialize online than to bitch and be Mr. Negativity all the time. Life is supposed to be about happy times. It's too short to be such a dick.

That and cut down on the Prilla and Giga Bowser discussions. All I ever talk about is "Yay! Prilla's hot!" or "Giga Bowser's an awesome main!". I'm surprised I'm somehow managing to keep most of you in my friends list. I know I have many other interests and all, but it's just I keep thinking "meh, who's interested in that shit except me?"

So... is there anything else you'd like me to talk about exept the Big N and Fairies? I'm stumped. That's all that's ever getting in this blog...

Qana

It's been a while, hasn't it? I haven't got much to say, so I don't see a point in updating. Can't constantly bore you with the same stuff all the time, now can I? And I've had more opportunities to post than I'm letting on. I've just been feeling like hanging out on YouTube. It's amazing all the stuff you can find there.

Wow! Yesterday was one of the most exhausting days I've had in what feels like ages. In my weight training class, we did a fitness test. Some parts I passed with flying colors (I JUST found out I can lift 300 lbs on a leg press, that's a little over twice my weight!!) Others, however, I failed fucking miserably. This guy in my class made the rest of my class (myself included) look like wimps. *gulp*

And now, a meme that's way overdue

Things Lori (tanz_fanatika) associates me with.

1) Prilla

All of you should know about P-chan by now. The fairy I've had the hots for for nearly a year now. She's, of course, from Disney Fairies, the next best thing after Chuck Norris.

2) Disney Fairies other than Prilla

Actually, Disney Fairies didn't become that big of a deal for me until January 2008. A HUGE mistake on my part. I keep a DF hoard in my bedroom. It started with only 4 dolls: Fira, Rani, Tink and, obviously, Prilla. Now it clutters up my computer desk and the entire top of my dresser. I've given up lots of possessions to get money to make that collection grow like mutated weeds. When I compare the merchandise sold here to the merchandise Lori keeps in her hoard, I feel like Disney treats Quebec like shit.

3) Canada

The North American country that is FAR inferior to the United States of Awesome. I don't want to go into more detail.

4 & 5 she let me pick. "Too easy, piece of cake!" - Sonic the Hedgehog.

4) Chef Gordon James Ramsay.

5) Two words: Il and Divo. Period

Phew. I feel like I haven't posted here in ages. Which, I guess, is fine because I feel so lonely... ;_;

I peeked on eBay just out of sheer curiosity thanks to Lori and [info]wichita98 , but the DF selection (on the Canadian one, anyway) is not much better than in stores. Sure, there were a few items I wanted right away (and would have gotten behind my mom's back had I a job and PayPal or credit card) such as this and this. What keeping me? Two things: a certain overprotective sack of shit and ridiculous price tags.

*sigh* Will I ever gain the rights that practically everyone my age and over has? Fuck knows, man. =(

Well, I've been getting back into Brawl, strangely, After reading this, I've realized that it is, indeed, far more challenging...

Only because the AI is a fucking coward. I'm still used to Melee having an AI that actually fights you instead of scampering away like the chickenshit Brawl's is. And the stupid bitch seems to be able to pierce right through my shield and hit me WHILE I'M AIRDODGING OR SIDESTEPPING. I hate that sidestepping got gimped like it did in Brawl. The AI (including the bosses), can still hit you. Another thing, the number of invincibility frames gained from the edge grab is just ridiculous. You can't touch the fuckers at all when they're holding on to the edge.

Enough about DF and Brawl. I can't seem to stop talking about those two things, huh. It's been forever since I wrote about, say, Panel de Pon, for instance. The truth is, while it's still my fave game, I haven't played it much these days, so I can't find much to say, except for how much of an epic win it is (and, consequently, Tetris Attack is an epic failure). Which is why I decided to use my Lip icon.

Moving on: I learned that, since I'm behind in some of my courses, I'm able to avoid THREE days of school! Yeah, in my program, the final year has an "intensive" course, in which they spend about 5 hours straight (or more) working on a final project (which I'm guessing goes in the portfolio). I don't have to do that! (Yet) What's worse; they even start SOONER than everyone else next semester! Well, fuck me sideways! Again, it doesn't apply to me because I haven't done all my courses. Which means less school for me!

And what's with the Play it on Wii service? I can only find 4 letters to describe it: F-A-I-L!

Comment here and I will choose 7 interests I am curious about. Respond in your journal.

Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda: This is a Sc-Fi show I got into in 2005. As most of you know, this show is where I got part of my name from. (the character Telemachus Rhade).

nVidia: The awesome, undefeatable GeForce graphics card. If I ever replace my computer, I will not accept ANY OTHER card.

Gordon Ramsay: I'm surprised Ida asked me about the greatest chef of this time period. His VERY unorthodox approach is what made me become a fan of his. That fish is RAW, you donut! X3

-cosplays: I'm mostly into cosplays of my favorite fictional characters. Halloween dress-ups also count, to me, as cosplays. This guy at a Halloween party I went to, had this awesome Joker costume on (the Dark Knight version). Some look so REAL! Cosplays rule.

David Ogden Stiers: Who could NOT like the voice of Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast. What REALLY made me start liking him, though, is his role in this movie.

Hell's Kitchen: One of many great shows hpsted by the great Gordon Ramsay. It's sort of a culinary boot camp-type game show where someone can either win a restaurant or a contract to temporarily be an executive chef in one of Ramsay's restaurants.

Il Divo: The greatest vocal group of all time. They are to me what Eisbrecher is to Lori. I'll leave you with a few of their songs so you can hear them for yourself.

Ugh!

Is the weather here in Quebec just that bad or are people here just so fucking lazy? The problem: too many damn cars on the road. Everyone is all over the place! This is especially hell at this one specific street corner near my place. People there just move, and don't give a shit about pedestrians. Clear up the damn roads and walk, you fuckers! The roads are already dangerous enough as it is.  Canada fails SO bad. *pretends to rip his hair out*

Well, I got an update on the weather for the next few days. Unfortunately. it's not supposed to get any warmer until Monday. Even wearing gloves didn't help. What am I going to do in December and January, when it's going to be -20 degrees again? I'll tell you what I'll do: freeze! X(

Thank God it's Friday. I know everyone already knows this expression, but the weeks feel like they're getting longer. At least I can start getting my Christmas shopping done.

Now, enough negative bitching crap. On the positive side, for a change, I'm going to a friend's baby shower on Sunday.  I'm really looking forward to this. This lady is my neighbor and godfather's daughter and has been my babysitter  when I was a kid. I'm glad than nowadays I can finally thank her for her years of care.

Also, you just NEED to check out these videos. They're hilarious.

Beer and cigarettes once went together like bread and butter, but now smoking in bars is banned in many cities. When you see smokers standing outside bars in the cold and rain, what is your first reaction? Walk on by, join them, or scorn them?

My first reaction?

BLECH! You stupid, disgusting bastards!

Well, that's just what I think. I just make faces. Cigarette smoke irritates my throat, and thus walking past smokers makes me cough up a storm.

Well, unfortunately, it's STILL cold. My fingers were starting to hurt this morning it was so bad. Since I carry my bag to school every day with one hand (usually my right), I had to switch hands every five minutes, while putting the other in my pocket. 'Time to start wearing gloves, mates! =( Yay, I love this time of year... </sarcasm>

You know, I'm glad I have you guys to talk to, even though most of you don't talk back sometimes. I barely ever see my real friends because my life is such a bore (I feel depressed because I often feel that my life is all about going to school, taking shit and kissing ass, but permuch everyone's life is similar, except that most have a job instead of school or worse, both).

And concerning selling Brawl, Lucentai is right. The game is more fun against other humans. I think I'll keep it ONLY to play with my friends and take screenshots. That's the only time this game's any fun for me. Besides, fighting computers is about as fun as watching a puddle dry and I REFUSE to get involved in Wi-Fi. Too many cheap projectile spammers and glitch abusers (Koopa Hoppers come to mind..,). In other words, players with no skill.

Well, I'll leave since I have class soon.

That... Fucking... Wind... Grrrrrr!!!!

  • Nov. 19th, 2008 at 4:20 PM

I decided to get up and leave the house early specifically to pick up an old Disney Fairies book I've been having trouble finding BECAUSE it's old. My closest large book store chain didn't have it, and I found just one copy in a place near my local Toys 'R' Us. Actually getting the book was worth it. Otherwise, the wind was so cold that walking to the bus stop was God awful.

I really, seriously hate fall and winter. I hate cold. Spring I can tolerate and summer is gold, but that's it. November sucks, nothing fun ever happens during that month. It's bad enough that I learned of something terrible happening to one of my favorite LJers (which I won't discuss here; she friend-locked it for a reason).

And to further shock you, I'm THIS close to selling Brawl.

*puts his thumb and index finger so close there's not even half an inch between them*

I'm not really having fun with it anymore, not even by hacking the fuck out of it with the Ocarina application. Giga Bowser is not fun (and I discovered I started sucking with the Melee one), there's no Debug Menu to explore, the SSE stages can't even be Brawled on, yadda yadda. Besides, my Fairies collection needs more attention, and I'm still sour about dumping this Lily doll for Brawl . I NEVER should have made that mistake. No store has the goddamn thing anymore, and the game no longer entertains me like it did on release. And ANYONE who mentions eBay or ANY online shopping site to me will get hit by Giga Bowser's Forward Tilt. You've been warned.

*sigh*

Well, I think I'll cut it short. Again *rolls eyes*

What a day... =P

I hate Mondays, you know that? It's bad enough that I finish at 6PM (Therefore, I get home at 7PM the earliest because of the slow bus service), but as I leave 10 mintes late, the school security guard stops me and tells me that my ID card is expired. Expired? Fuck off, will you? I've already showed it to two other guards and they didn't say jackshit! Either that night guard is just a dumbshit, or I dealt with two lazy ones before.

And in music news, Il Divo's newest CD, "The Promise", has been launched today. I already asked for it for X-Mas. I LURVE Il Divo! X3

And another thing, LJ is temporarily closing because the server is moving. I know the news already talk about it, but I just wanted to say that If I don't see you before then, well see you later, I guess.

*waves and warps away*

God fucking damn Flash Player!!! X(

Everytime I'm browsing dA or some profile pages here, cheap bug-ridden fucking Flash Player 9 keeps showing me a pop-up window asking me for a debugging application. Annoyed, I click "Cancel". Then it crashes the browser and I have to log in again! Grrrr!! I'd turn on the Remember Me function, but I don't think it'll help because as soon as I close the window it shows me the log in screen again! I have a joke in mind for the next time it happens... *evil snicker*

Gel, I remember you commenting on my misworded Tinker Bell review. (I had meant to compare it to Shrek, not Brawl. What came over me? =P) If you had read a review that was posted in the DF community I'm in, you would have thought mine was gold compared to it. It was fairly under par and directed mostly toward "only girls liking it". I mean no true offence to the person who wrote it, he had a right to voice his opinion. But I must say. I enjoyed the movie, despite being a guy. So he truly has no case.

Well... I think I'll cut it short here.

*Goes back to hoping for a flinching Giga Bowser in SSBB*

Oh... FUCK YEAH!!!

BARACK FREAKING OBAMA FOR PREZ!!!! <3333333

...

OK, I may not be American, but loving your country like I do, I'm excited! I supported him 100%!

It's a shame that I don't feel so great physically, though...

Lately, I've been feeling strange. My body's decided to go crazy for some odd reason. These days, my legs hurt all the time, my feet are always getting blisters and I've been constantly and uncontrollably craving sugar, thus wolfing it down in huge amounts. Since I'm seeing my doctor this weekend, I'll try to talk to him about it.

But... CONGRATS, OBAMA!!!

Halloween and Tinker Bell

HAPPY HALLOWEEN, MORTAL CREATURES!!! *evil cackle*

OK, enough of that.

I'm excited. I'll be going to a Halloween party tonight dressed as my character (Lord Rhade). If I feel like it, I just might *sneak* a picture of the costume in an entry.

Even if you think you're too old, I hope you're all planning to go trick-or-treating. With or without children. That is one of the most integral Halloween traditions. And dress up, will ya? ;)

Good.

Now for a little treat.

I found it on YouTube and watched it in its entirety. Here is my own personal review of the movie (brace yourself, it's kinda long, hence why it's behind an LJ-cut. Oh, and SPOILER WARNING!!!):

Read the review )
Well, have a good ghouling night, and don't forget my Halloween PM, Ruby. I have a werewolf hidden in your house in case you forget.

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Jokes end now. XD

What Your Love of Twix Says About You

You are a generous and caring person. You are soft hearted.

You're the type who needs a partner. You just don't feel right on your own.

You are more fragile than outward appearances would suggest.

You tend to be a pushover. You are very sensitive and easy to break.

That is SO me! XP

And here I am, rising from the dead...

XD Just kidding! Thought I'd just poke fun at LJ's cute Halloween title.

Tinker Bell is finally out. I hope it's worth the wait. Well, since it's branded "Disney Fairies", I automatically like it without having to watch it. I hope you Fairies fans picked it up. I would have, but the place I went to had a hefty price tag on the DVD, and I lacked the time and money to check elsewhere. Besides, all I wanted today was to see the DVD and hold it. Just doing that gave me the biggest rush since I first started collecting Fairies merchandise. I mean hell, this isn't just any movie, it's a DISNEY FUCKING FAIRIES MOVIE!! Epicness in the making!

Oh, and for those of you who asked me where Fracktail comes from, here is his appearance in Super Paper Mario in its entirety.

Even if his screen time is short, there's no explanation for Fracktail's awesomeness, except if he were Prilla's pet dragon. But that's not the case, sadly. And before you reply about it, no, I personally don't like Wracktail. He just has a "Oh, look at me: I'm just a stronger, evil pallette swap of Fracktail. Yay!" sign hanging from his ass. Not a very good impression, if you ask me. Fracktail rocks because he's normally a good guy. Face it, we need more giant robotic dragon good guys.

Found it!

Silvermist! At long last.

I must admit I was sure it would take forever to find it. There's something else I bought too, something I honestly thought I'd never find, even less than Silvermist. But you get to wait. I love suspense.

And I hope all of you Fairies fans remembered to pick up the Tinker Bell CD last week. I sure did! Mine was the only copy in the whole mall I went to.

Now, to finally move away from Disney Fairies, Ida... there's something I'd like to discuss with you via PM. It's concerning one of your entries I seem to have missed from this past weekend. Is that OK?

And I have a fresh new icon! Of my latest video game character obsession: Fracktail!
